Bijan Sam Samandary Scholarship Fund

Bijan Saman Samandary was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. The son of Iranian immigrants, Sam understood both the challenges families face seeking a better life in this country, and the vibrancy and dignity those families possess in the face of strife. Sam attended the UC Davis School of Law, where, through his work at the Immigration Law Clinic, he would go on to fight against the prolonged detention and deportation of immigrants. After graduating in 2015, he returned home with newfound skills, purpose, and passion to serve local communities pursuing new chapters. This scholarship fund celebrates his life, his work, and his legacy.
